Greetings one and all in the GTA.

This Sunday June the 13th is the annual Jaguar Concours d"Elegance.

This year it is in the Science Centre parking lot at the corner of Eglinton and Don Mills Rd.

This is your chance to see the greatest examples of modern and vintage Jaguars in this country.

You can also display your car if you desire, tell them at the entrance gate, we will accomodate every Jaguar in its own class or in the driven or display divisions.

My XJS convertible will be in display class.


Admission is a nominal fee of a couple of dollars.

You will see everything from the oldest of Jags to the newest XF and XJ's.

I had the opportunity to attend this year's Ontario Jaguar Owners Association Annual Concours D'Elegance held at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto at the invitation of JustV12. What a fantastic event! Only purchasing my S-type this past December, I hadn't attended the event before so I jumped at the opporunity to attend this year - and I wasn't disappointed!

When I arrived, I decided to put my S-type on display in the Display section, but when I went to pay, a number of the organizers told me with a car that looks as good as mine, I should put it in to be judged. Sweet! They either meant it, or they easily parted me with my entrance fee!

It was a strange thing to be involved in - driving your car up under the big tent and having a group of grown men with clip boards pour over your car. I didn't see any disapproving head shakes or tsk tsk's so I think I faired ok. I unfortunately had to leave before the results came back in, so I'm still sitting on the edge of my seat wondering...

By the way your class was bigger than you thought and you have a very nice trophy to collect. I picked it up for you and soon it will be on the OJOA web site with my face and your name. Guess we have to meet soon eh? Woodbridge?

I used www.photobucket.com to host the pics for free.

Woodbridge sounds like a plan to me! We'll just have to orchestrate the date. I'll check my calender and let you know.

I must say I am sorry I got there so late. I did have the privilege of meeting Mr and Mrs V12, and they were delightful to chat with.

So many beautiful Jags. Certainly inspired me to continue my search.

I look forward to meeting with the rest of you at the next meet.

Boys - Woodbridge - tonight (17Jun10). I'll be there in and around 7pm. I'm going to hop on over to the dealership in Woodbridge beforehand and pretend I have more money than I really have and to make some inquiries about my S-type.

Johnnie5 - Hey there! I remember you as well, and that was one sweet ride, your E-type. Glad you made it onto the forums. Hopefully you'll find it fun and informative.

FYI, Sunday sept 19 there is a British Car days event at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Lots of cars and vendors as well. Anyone planning to attend?

 

Why yes...Mrs V12 and I will be there in some sort of Jaguar...or perhaps more than one??
