Default Rust proofing

As we still elect to live in Canada, my vehicles pay a heavy price in deterioration.
I have been researching solutions for rust proofing for a month now.
The complication is that the vehicles I want protected are not new and do have surface rust on the frames, brake lines, and in some cases the body.
So, I’ve decided to clean them up but not with a full restoration.
1 Lightly wire brush off any flaking rust.
2 Power wash with soap
3 Dry
4 Stone guard where needed
And now my question…
5 Rust proof with…
My research shows positive results with https://corrosionfree.com/faq/ (used at Canadian Tire and other independents).
I was surprised to see the endorsement by the military (of which I was a member a lifetime ago and can attest to the aggressive use of vehicles)

Does anyone here have thoughts on this brand? Yes, yes, I know all about the other brands that are available and even have experience with them. That’s precisely the reason I’m looking elsewhere.

Thanks guys.
Cheers!

I can empathise with that. The combination of rain and road salt in the UK eats early Jaguars and soon has surface rust on later and current ones.

Cathodic protection?

Connect to a battery charger/ conditioner also helps.

Reduces the corrosion vigorousity somewhat.

or move to the Southern Drier States of the USA. and join a gun club?

Well, I ended up going down the path of the “corrosion free” spray application. The independent shop that did the work was thorough and welcomed my input and direction as they did the job. One hour and ~$200 later, its done.
I let the vehicle sit in the warm garage for 2 days. There was no dripping but you could actually see the material spreading about.
Which leads me to what I suppose was inevitable; I have this sticky mess all over parts of the vehicle thatI like to keep clean and tidy.
So, though it may seem ridiculous to some, I’m going to classify those areas as “overspray”. And carefully with a sponge, warm water and a mild soap wash the engine bay, around all doors, etc. Hopefully it won’t drastically affect the application to those minute seams, creases or folds in the metal where I wanted the protection.
I will be booking the other vehicles for this service.

My xjs has never seen winter. But I have been using corrosion free for years on my other vehicles. Seems to work well. Don't waste money on those electronic devices, they don't do a thing.
