I purchase this car from Jaguar Waterloo just over two years ago (Oct 16/11) as a retirement gift to myself, having previously owned an XKE as my first car. I've driven it for pleasure only in good weather for two summers, storing it both winters, and it now has around 26,000 km. I’ve always garaged the car. The factory warranty has over 15 months left, expiring March 15, 2015. Vin # XA4EC5AM B38511. It has a 100% clean Car Proof, 100% original paint, and no damage or wear of any kind.

I placed an Autotrader ad late last week when my wife and I decided to buy a limited edition exotic, and I've been advised that there is exactly one left in Canada for the 2014 model year. I agreed to sell the XKR "before" ordering the new car, as when I ordered the XKR I agreed to sell another car in my collection and somehow never quite seemed to get around to it!

This is obviously a poor time of year to sell a convertible, but I am highly motivated to sell it quickly so I don't miss the car I'd like to purchase. This creates an excellent opportunity for someone to purchase this vehicle at well below market value (approx. $75,000, MSRP on this particular car was $120k) The car is stored for the winter now in Pickering for local viewing, and I'd even be happy to keep it stored there for the rest of the winter for its new owner if desired. You tease us with "limited edition exotic" and then don't tell us what it is? How cruel to leave us guessing!

 

2014 SRT Viper T/A in Crusher Orange (as shown). Holds the Laguna Seca production car track record set by Randy Pobst in March '13. Only 93 being produced (6 for all of Canada), and all sold out in 3 days. I'm fairly confident that my dealer is going to be able to locate one of them this week.



This is the only car that has even remotely tempted me to sell the XKR, and when the time comes we'll see if I actually do!

My friend and business partner with whom I go to the track several times a year with Southern California Audi Club (including last weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway) is looking to buy the same car. However, we went to the L.A. Auto Show a couple of nights ago and now he's become hooked on a specially track prepared Lotus Exige that is made from the factory specifically for the track. We'll see what he ends up with...
