Pinnacle free giveaway
I'm definitely in. I'm currently ranked #2 for the Jaguar Club North America Concours. These products will certainly help me maintain the standings and hopefully get me to #1!!!

It's a terrible picture, but great timing. When I bought this car, the horizontal surfaces were horribly oxidized. I spent HOURS on them, using a combination of Turtle Wax (HA!), Wolfgang and Pinnacle products, and ended up with this:
I used Pinnacle poly clay over the entire body. It's slow-going on any car, but I have a new appreciation for how big the Jag is. I have previously used a Mother's "Gold" clay bar, but I've liked Pinnacle's other products and so I gave it a go. I don't think it does a better job than the Mother's product, but it's quite a bit easier to use. I didn't find it as prone to sticking to my hands as the Mother's clay, and that right there was worth the price of admission. Very satisfied with it.
I then went over the hood, roof, and trunk with Turtle Wax rubbing compound. I generally avoid normal consumer level stuff (because I'm snobby ), but I've found the Turtle Wax compound to be very mild and easy to use and still produces good results. I don't like taking truly harsh products to new used cars, because you never really know what sort of condition the paint is in. I imagine with experience you get better at making snap judgments of paint, but I'm not that experienced. The Turtle Wax stuff has never screwed me.
The entire car was polished with Pinnacle "Advanced Swirl Remover" to bring back the shine. Again, I'd previously used a Meguiar's swirl remover but decided to stick with the Pinnacle brand. It did a great job, and application was easy. I probably could have gotten away with an even less aggressive polish as post rubbing compound the paint was looking very good, but the sides were covered with very light scratches and I got a little lazy so I used one product across the whole car. The ASR worked great - took out all the fine scratches save one that was fairly deep, and left behind just the deep, anthracite paint I knew was there!
Last was Wolfgang "Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0" which gives a great shine and long-term protection. It's a super product and has replaced Klasse as my go-to sealant. It takes a little more work, but the results speak for themselves. Plus, it leaves the paint with this crazy soft texture that I never get tired of touching. If you have an anthracite XJ you've never seen truly clean, I highly recommend this process. It will give an amazing depth to your paint - it's like looking into a starfield!
I wish I had some before pictures to share, but I neglected to take any.
On a side note, the thing that first got me into Pinnacle's products was their XMT foam pad products. The Conditioner and Cleaner are superb, and managed to salvage a pretty high investment in foam pads that I could not get clean. I couldn't quantify it, but I also believe the Conditioner has saved real dollars in terms of product that doesn't get sucked up into the pad and then wasted. That stuff changed my life! Also, as long as I'm pumping up Pinnacle products, I'd also call attention to their Glasswork Water Spot Remover. My '62 Falcon had been parked next to a sprinkler (my bad) for about a month and ended up with vicious hard water stains on the side/back glass. I tried a bunch of standard remedies, and even forked out big dollars for the Griot's glass clay but the spots persisted. I bought the Glasswork stuff on a whim, and with the most abrasive foam pad I had managed to clean up the glass *beautifully*. It looks *amazing*. I just need to get a smaller DA so I can really get into the corners - getting through these spots without a DA would be awful - but you can't see the flaws unless you really look. Since that little experiment, I've polished a LOT of glass.
I was about to replace the stuff I used up doing the Jag... but now I think I'll wait to see if I can win some new instead!
Edit: Might as well show off the vertical surfaces too... they now make a great mirror for the aforementioned '62 Falcon.
