Default Kokopelli's dancing in the suns rays.....Horrendous, repainted and left for "SWIRL"

Today's job was one of the most horrendous that I have seen in a while. You all know how for the most part we get the "Creme de la creme" when it comes to detailing. But if I have an enthusiast, regardless of vehicle type...there is no prejudice for that........I am here to take care of their vehicle needs just like any exotic.

So upon my arrival, the first thing I observed was my friends the "Kokopelli's dancing off the suns reflection on this hacked up 03 Infinity G35 that had been repainted 3 months ago and left for "SWIRL"

So lets compare the two and the similarities.........

That was really horrendous lol
You have a happy customer, more correctly that was a lucky person to meet such a guy like you whose job is devoted to perfection

So was the repaint soft and poor washing caused all that, or was that left over from the painters "detailing" job?

The owner must feel like they got a new car!

Cheers,
GREG

Thanks for joining Greg, the answer would be all three......soft repaint, poor maintenance after the paint job, and terrible color sanding and polishing performed by the body shop...The owner was super happy when they arrived to see it, thanks!

I can't imagine why so a new car would need to be repainted, unless it was parked under a tree and never washed! I wonder what it looked like before it was repainted!

What were the steps used to remove the swirls? You did a awesome job.

What did a detail job like that cost?

Thank you very much!!!

4 steps were provided to acomplish these results......

Step 1) Rotary cut on a low speed with a 3M wool pad and Meguiar's M105

Step 2) D/A polish on a high speed with a LC cyan hydro cutting pad and Meguiars M105 to reduce and eliminate any marks from step 1

Step 3) D/A polish PCXP @ 6 with LC tangerine hydro pad and Meguiar's M205 to rejuvinate and add depth to the paint

Step 4) D/A wax with PCXP @ 4.5 with LC crimson hydro finishing pad and Meguiar's M21 for final pass and seal

If I recall this customer paid me a total of $350.00 for this paint correction service + the headlight restoral
