Default Removing Clear Bra Residue

I recently bought an Audi A6 wagon that apparently the previous owner installed and removed a clear bra. The hood had several areas of discoloration. I found that using Meguir's Ultimate compound along with the Meguir's wax did a fairly good job of removing the offending marks. I used a random orbital buffer with the Meguirs product and microfiber pads. These are available at Advance Auto Parts. After about a half hour of using first the Ultimate compound and then the wax removed just about all remnants of the clear bra residue. I would imagine a second pass of the areas using the Meguirs products would make the areas just about perfect, but for a first pass effort, it really looked nice.

Comment: I would recommend against a clear bra due to the effects of removing it seem greater than the odd stone mark on the front end. Others may have a different opinion though.

Mike
