Say hello to my friend Dr.ColoChip; before & after pics!!
Finally had the chance to try out "dr.colorchip" on my STR and show some before and after pics as some requested to me. Hope this helps in determining how good of a product this is. You just get the paint bottle which is an exact color match, few brushes, and of course the magical bottle of SealAct which is a blending solution to wi pe away excess paint. Ohh lets not forget the included microfiber cloth for polishing.
Key to using it, Apply a dab of Acetone on the areas you want to touchup with Q-tip(optional, but I found it be a good prep for the surface & for adherence of the paint). Apply the paint.....let it dry the first time around then recoat atleast 2 more times to get it right, then use the SealAct solution to remove the excess paint off, then finally buff away with the included Microfiber cloth
Final thoughts, hmmmm...I thought it did a pretty good job of concealing the defects, not 100% great but 98% effective in concealment of minor to deep scratches. From a distance of standing in front of the vehicle you can't tell at all its been touched up, but if you kneel down and get up close you tell its been touched up soo slightly. Its definitely well worth every penny spent on it as an investment. I highly recommend it as a user especially the front lower ends of our S types/STR's get prone to scrapes and scratches in those areas most of the times.
Take a look below of the Platinum Metallic Paint I order and applied on to help conceal the badly affected areas of scrapes on the front lower end bumper.

Dang that actually looks pretty good on the bottom of the bumper. If its showing black its a pretty deep scratch as my entire bottom looks like that. That definitly looks really good for that touch up system. I think I may pick some of that up after I get my bumper repainted as mine is really really bad and only getting worse. I can use it if I need to touch up.
