Default Spots on Aluminum

I have tried just about everything to remove these oxidation spots. I'll take any suggestions, because I can't get rid of them.

Don't know if it related but may be it helps..

I was in the same boat for the spots on Window Trim.. Tried several things, nothing worked...

Then I used Aluminum Deoxidizer for Cars

And it restored the trim to the brand new finish... (Except it didn't fix the scratches (you would assume lool)..

Call them and see if they have something for the Engine finish...

That guy make this kit by himself and it REALLY WORKS..

Thanks,
Rizwan

I'm a bit late, but I had BAD water spots on my plastic "chrome" trim around the windows on my wife's Lincoln.

Used FLITZ Polish, and rubbed completely away. Worth the $9.

You can experiment all you want. To do it right the part needs to come off and be refinished. Period, end of story. This motor could use a good cleaning in general. aluminum will corode if it sits. Anything you do will only MASK the situation, NOT REMEDY it. Paintxpert. Shine Since 1969.

Once the aluminum corrodes it needs to be glass beaded and repainted. There are SEVERAL mask methods to make it better, but again, just masking the situation. Go to hemings Motor News. look at the refinish aluminum section for Jags. They have a whole chaper on refinishing of Jag Exhaust parts.

Reread my thread. Never said it was aluminium or a Jaguar.

Product worked great. Haven't tried it on aluminium.
