Ok....took some time out today as the weather was just soo nice

Decided to look out the silver hammerite, brushes and in leiu of Autoglym tar remover, some petrol and made a start.

Took around an hour or so per corner, removed the wheels and put aside, and repainted the hubs and calipers. Whilst that was drying I turned my attention to the wheels...They were covered in dozens and doezens of tar spots, so I fist gave them a quick wash and then liberally applied the petrol and worked it in with a rag. The tar spots soon came away and then I re washed them with hot soapy water and dried carefully with a microfibre.
Then back on to the car they went and then a nice coating of wet n black to the tyres for a great result.......All good for another year

Thumbs up WOW, looking brand new

Spend a few hours detailing and waxing my 03 S type as well. Have been thinking about painting the caliper as well. Very nice job.

Too much rain here in California to break out the wax just yet. Maybe in a few days when they sun comes back. I've got a brand new bottle of Meg's Ultimate Wax just waiting for some use.

Thanks Dave, nice of you to say so. Kind of rough compared to the work you do but its really revived them.
The cars been washed to an inch of its life today and the interior carpets and upholstery done too.
I'll be going over the plastics tomorrow with Autoglym rubber and vinyl to feed them as well as the door rubbers etc, maybe just rty and shine the exhaust tips up a little more too!

Its never really hard work tbh as she's done very regularly so normally and hour or two is all thats needed.

I am looking to attend an Audi meet on Sunday at Glen Turret Distillery, maybe around 80 cars, so should be a good day and want her to look her best
