Default Tired (and tatty) Wheel Wells? Here are some tips.

I have another tip for you Sam (and others while doing your brake calipers)...and to be honest, has nothing to do with them at all! Ok, while the wheel is off, take a good look at the wheel well, notice any spots, discolorations, etc on the 'coating' that is there? Mine has some concrete blotches, missing pieces, etc...looks as they say over in the UK 'tattered', so I bought a can of that 3M (or dupont, can't remember) rubber undercoating in a can...and this stuff is brilliant! Wrap the rotor and caliper, tape off the shock and coil spring, and spray away onto a recently cleaned wheel well and viola..!!!...thick, rubbery and dark black (oh there goes a visual ), anyway, looks like new. I in fact, used this on the visible areas of my gas tank, because it was discolored, the towhook plug area was bare metal, and also because the exhaust guys nicked the tank coating with the hack saw as they chopped off my old exhaust tips.

Looks fantastic now. Anyway, that's my tip for the day.

I agree with h20boy on the rubberized undercoating. I have done this as well. But the front fender liners are abs plastic and you can scrub the heck out of them to bring them back to black. Solid black thru and thru, so there is nothing to rub off. Then use your favorite, armorall, westly's, foam wheel dressing. And the next time they get crude on them it will wipe off. But be sure to buff off the excess so you do not get any on the tire tread.

REVEREND SAM was spotted at the ____________ Call 911 Call 911.
