Default Diesel Engine not starting after injector cleaning

X358 from 2007 220tkm had one injector leaking. Got a tool to plop it out and an ultrasound cleaner . Took them all out and apart everything cleaned aswell as the injector holes and egr pipe ,fuel lines.
Got new copperseals , new diesel filter.
Now the engine will not start.
could this be a matter of air in the fuel system ?
does cranking some more help?

Did you dismantle the injectors? In most case when you took high pressure lines open, you have lot of air in system and you need to lose high pressure fuel lines at the end of the injectors and start as long as you get fuel out each of them. Tighten the lines once you see fuel. Still after that the injectors are empty, so more cranking are needed.

All good now engine runs again.
Problem we created ourselves. By taking the injectors apart to clean then in ultrasonic bath and probably mixing parts of three different brands.
tried those then on another xj and failed . So we knew it was the injectors. Took those of that engine and tried on the initial engine after cleaning just the nozzles . Gave it a diesel bath before putting back together . New copper rings, new fuel return line. .
Started after 3 attempt. Amazing poweroutput. 2007 xj tdvi

Great.
Dismantling injectors byself do not usually end with good results, at least modern very high pressure ones.
Enjoy

Sorry for not replying earlier
we replaced the injectors with oe from another 2,7 xj6 tdvi
cleaned just the front nozzle put back together again then installed them .
Engine started almost right away. New washers installed injectors torqued to spec . Awesome power for a 220t km car( previously had crankshaft bearing changed at 150t km and distrib. Belt at 200t km).
then later on we had restricted performance.
caused by ??? Do not remember.
decided to do
Software optimization egr and dpf delete
540mn of torque 244 hp for a 220tkm who previously had 192 hp .
what a response, what a powerhouse . Pushing the jag like pulled by a rubber band.
lol that is as much torque as the xjr engine plus reduction on the differential.
lowered consumption by a litre in average
