Hello everyone (from Italy). This is my first post. I would like some information please. I have a 2005 Jaguar S-Type 2.7 D with automatic transmission. The alternator does not always charge the battery well and this causes error messages to appear. Among these the most annoying is "GEARBOX FAULT". When this happens the gearbox goes into protection and works poorly. Sometimes it is enough to turn the engine off and on again to make the error code disappear but other times it does not disappear and I am forced to go to my mechanic to have the error cleared. I would like to be able to do this deletion myself and I bought two cheap OBD scanners on Amazon but neither recognized the error so I couldn't delete it. So I returned it. They told me about an OBD scanner called iCarsoft LR V1.0 and which would be specific for Jaguar/Land Rover. Have any of you tried it? Do you think it can detect and then clear the "GEARBOX FAULT" code in my car? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
