Hi all, just wondering what is the best way in getting a ecu report from Jaguar as my car engine seized up last year and the insurance are asking for report as the recovery driver drove the car onto the recovery vehicle.

A JLR Pathfinder (the dealer diagnostics application ) session will provide comprehensive data download from all modules. Other tools can interrogate modules for fault codes but will not to provide the associated event timing necessary to satisfy the insurance company if the precise time of the engine seize is contentious.

Thanks for the information Graham l would have preferred time and date for the insurance aspect but hopefully it will show the initial fault then the engine seizure afterwards this in turn could possibly prove that the recovery driver was at fault

When I read your question, I thought the insurer would be looking for the exact time and sequence of events to absolve themselves. Good luck with your claim. A seized engine is more than enough trouble without having a battle with insurers over liability.
