Default Media player won't play movies

Very new E-Pace owner here. After carefully reading the manual section on portable media I formatted a USB stick correctly and then loaded a number of videos in different formats that the manual said should be recognized, i.e. MP4, m4v, etc. The media player found the drive, but when I selected it from Source, there was no Queue of movies. As an experiment I put some audio files on the USB drive in m4a and mp3 and then when I reinserted the USB stick the Queue menu item appeared and found the music files but not what are supposed to be supported movie media files. What am I doing wrong? What can I do to allow me to watch movies in the car (while parked, of course)?

I didn't know that there was an e-Pace model which played movies.

According to the manual and posts on different E-Pace forums, it should be able to. Maybe I got a movie-lemon.

wmlaven,
There are hundreds of variants which can be specified when a car is ordered. The manual can be generic to cover all options even when so few are fitted. My manual says that the car is it's fully loaded with goodies. I know better.

Agreed re: manual, but, as I said, many folks on different E-Pace forums than this one have said that they can play movies on their E-Pace and my Jaguar dealer said it should work, too.

wmlaven,

If you'll kindly send me a link to those other e-Pace forums I'll check the issue out further.

Finally got this figured out with the help of my Jag Dealer. One has to go to the Media Source > USB stick (w/movie) > Find > Videos and they are listed there. What's odd is that they don't appear in the Queue with the music, they only appear when you go to Find > Videos and then appear as a list from which you can choose. Sort of clunky esp. since once I touch/click on a movie I hear the audio, but only see the list then I have to go to the Home Button and then back to the Media button for the image to appear.
