Speedometer out by 5mph
I bought a new E-pace back in April and have always questioned the accuracy of the speedometer. I have checked it against GPS speed aps and also with friends driving behind me and each time it's always around 5mph out. For example when I'm doing 70mph as per car speedometer I'm actually only doing 65mph. I've taken it back to jaguar garage and they have more or less said tough live with it. Anyone else had the same problem. surely I shouldnt have to drive a new car guessing my speed all the time.

The UK Motor Vehicle (Approval) Regulations 2001 (which are based on UN Vehicle Regulations - 1958 Agreement) requires that a speedometer must never show less than the actual speed, and must never show more than 110% of actual speed + 6.25mph.
For example, if your true speed is 40mph, your speedometer could legally display up to 50.25 mph (40 + 4 + 6.25) but never less than 40 mph.
To ensure that they comply with the regulations and ensure that their speedometers are never showing less than true speed under any foreseeable circumstances, car manufacturers normally deliberately calibrate their speedos to read ‘high’ by a certain amount.

I've had other vehicles where the warranty was on a time or mileage basis and that would apply but my basic Jaguar UK warranty was on a time elapsed basis only. Jaguar extended warranty in the UK does include a 100K miles limit but not many owners will still be using Jaguar Dealers for servicing and repairs at that mileage to qualify.
