alternate throttle for XKE

alternate throttle for XKE
I know some E-Types change speed when pushed hard into turns, this is because of the throttle movement by the flexing of the car ! Most Manufactures now use CABLE OPERATED THROTTLES.
Here are some photos and detail drawings on how to build your own.
I used rear brake cables for 10 speed bicycles, these are stronger than most throttle cables. By using two cables you can take advantage of the self centering effect and the additional safety of having two cables.
Make the 4 little block, cable, guide ends from 1/2" x 3/4" x 3/4" pieces of aluminum drill stepped holes in these so the outer cable is retained and the inner cable slides through. Use locktite on all nuts and oil the cables and swivels.
This set-up provided me with a very smooth throttle on a 3 carb Jag, let me know what you think.
