Default In cam covers, does 3.8=4.2?

I recently purchased a nice ser. 1.5 2+2 E type, but the exhaust cam cover had been over torqued, cracked, and repaired....with a couple holes cracked again. Have only seen 3.8 covers for sale lately, at least solid ones and it seems that they'd be the same.
Not in a big hurry to swap it out, and am a relatively patient bargain hunter, but I'd expect to pay upwards of 2-3 hundred for a nice set.

Default Just checked their site,,,,,

Glad to know they'd fit.....makes searching a lot easier!

I'm guessing it must've been a while since you priced them, but they're showing around $853/a pair for all varieties. They do have some good prices on other stuff I'll need. I have lots of receipts from the previous owner from SNG too.
Thanks!

Unhappy re torque for Cam caps

Is there a small Torque wrench that can register the torque for cam cap bolts.
3/8" drive seems overkill and lacks the finesse
OR can these bolts be tightened and then add 1/8" turn or ?
Just used Pittsburgh Torque Wrench and broke off cap bolt . did not find the "click " that audible . Plus the 3/8" wrench felt to heavy from onset.

Advice any one ?

Default I have a 3/8" CDI torque wrench

A very nice E-Bay purchase several years ago. I think I paid less than $50. It came with a calibration certificate. It's a micrometer type that registers in in/lbs instead of ft/lbs, when you reach the setting, the handle "breaks" over slightly. You can't miss it.
Search E-Bay and/or check their website.

Finger tight, plus a little bit. If you hold the wrench at the nut end instead of the handle by the tips of your fingers that's just about right.

CDI and PROTO both make inch/pound torque wrenches. I have 1/4 and 3/8 drive.
