Default E-Type FHC windscreen caulking

On the top corners of the Coupe front windscreen there is a small caulking sealant above the A pillar chrome finisher about 3" long. Any recommendations on what is the correct product would be appreciated.

Thanks Andy

Are you sure that's a factory procedure? Or added by a previous owner? Looks like silicone.

NO, DO NOT use silicone on windshields or glass in cars, it is hard to get off and you can never paint or glue any thing to it again!!

USE POLYURETHANE as a sealant and as a strong adhesive on glass and trim ! (your glass shop uses this). Available from HomeDepot in the caulking dept.

Many thanks for your advice. I don't know if the sealant is factory or not but I think it looks better with it in place.
