Is this E type still alive?
Hi everyone,
I have an XJ-S so spend my time on that part of the forum. However, I have an elderly neighbor, well into his 80s, who still loves to talk classic cars and today was showing me pictures of an E Type he owned sometime (he thinks) in the 1980s.
Car was a V12, auto convertible in "Heather". Not seen this colour before - looks a sort of pinky fawn.UK registration then was VBY 969M (apparently not now recorded on DVLA database). He thinks that the car was one of the last made and had some kind of plaque on the dashboard proclaiming this. He recalls selling the car to a Scandinavian gent who apparently had plans to convert the car to LHD for clubmans racing.
Needless to say he much regrets selling the car for £9k (don't we all!) but would love to know if the car is still a survivor.
Thanks for reading and I'll pass on any messages.
Cheers,
LeeP
