EJAG Magazine question...
Hello all,
Back in the late 70's I was attending college and driving my Dad's '64 XKE. I was studying photography and doing some experimenting. I took a photo of the Jag parked under a tree will lots of interesting light patterns on it. I used color slide film and then printed it on regular B&W photo paper. The result was a negative image. Pretty cool I thought.
A few years later, Dad had the car again and I mounted the print and sent it to him. At the time he was a subscriber to a specialty magazine called "EJAG". He submitted the photograph to them for review and it was subsequently published. So I am a published photographer! Anyway, I am trying to locate that issue of EJAG magazine. Anybody on here have a stock of back issues they would be willing to go through and try to locate this particular issue? I don't know what year or month it was published in. It would have had to be after 1978. Maybe 1979-1985 ish.
Here is the picture.
If located I would really like to purchase a copy of that issue.
Thanks!

I have that issue (and every other issue of EJAG News - that's back from my scribblin' days when I was contributing stories and photos to the mag). Your photo was used to back-drop the title graphics for a story on the earliest E-Types - looks great. The issue is yours just for the cost of shipping. I'll contact you off-line with the details.

Hi Mike,
I'm also looking for a copy of EJAG magazine to purchase. The one I'm looking for features Fourth Annual Newport Jaguar Festival report May - July 1978. Do you have it ?
The reason is I found this plaque in my white XKE coupe & I think the car was there, so I'm trying to trace the history.
Kind regards
Mike

The July 1978 issue had a big spread on that Newport Festival. I didn't spot any obvious photos or references to a white S2 FHC in the article. No S2 FHC was placed in the show results. Would you happen to know the owner's name at that time, or perhaps the plate number? Or any other distinguishing characteristics of the car that would ID it?

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately I only have history on the car by owner back to 1986 with no state licence plate details when it was in Denver, Colorado.
The car did (does) have two matching chrome original door mounted mirrors and the radio aerial is in the rear offside wing near the opening side catch of the tailgate. The car was originally (still is) Cream (Old English White) with a black leather interior. Hope this helps ?
Is it possible to get a scanned copy of the July 1978 article ?
Thanks
