Welcome to the forum Nick,
I've moved your question from New Member Area - Intro a MUST to E-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.
I've also removed your phone number and email address. It's unnecessary for replies and never a good idea to post personal contact details on a public forum.

This was a link to them but it appears to be a dead link now--they may no longer be in business

Also, a US firm that had a name similar to 'cat eyes' built kits to adapt a cover to the Series 1.5 and Series 2 cars, appropriately shortened to fit. A decent look, and far better than 'open' for those with taste so inclined.
Just tried a few Google searches but came up empty handed.
Monocoque Metalwlorks (Chuck Hadley) does a wonderful job with his conversion metal, but of course that's a fabrication, repaint type job.
Best wishes.

There is a new kit being offered by one of the regular posters on the Jag-Lovers.org E-type forum. His name is Marek and he asked another poster who was asking to contact him by email at:

I am in the middle of producing an aftermarket headlight cover kit for series 2 and 3 cars.
New scoops, new lenses (PTB), new edge trims. Kit uses your own buckets relocated back further and car can be returned to original ! No body work required for installation.
Or if you can't wait there is a guy in California on ebay selling kits, take a look, I didn't like them to much !

headlite covers
i let this go for a while as i was not quite ready to work on the e type Now the engine is out and the engine comp is being blasted and i am doing some other semi custom work. The E is a 1968 series 11/2 so it a bit different from a 67 and a 69. u said u were working on a custom set of covers will they fit my car and if so when will u have a set done, oh and about how much. If not a while back someone on here sent me a link to a video that showed how to modify the existing set up to put series one covers on. It took making new "sugar scoops" and redoing the bulkhead Do u know anyone that could resend me that link
Thanks
Nick

If you go to the link I included (photo albums) the owner of the photo album "Marek" is shown and it is a hot link - so if you click on that you will go to an email which is different that the one he showed in his posting but it should be good too.

dear firewater:
the headlight cover change parts required are available from Monocoupe metal works in
maryland. He manufactures the series one metal surrounds that have to be cut and fitted/welded into your car, then the new diaphragm has to be fitted to accommodate the
series headlight buckets his kit is about $750. plus the lenses, trim, buckets and new chrome fender strips! this is about $900. This is making your series 1 1/2, 2, or 3 exactly like a series one headlights car ! This kit also requires the best body and painting skills !
I am working on a kit that requires NO body work it has new lenses, new scoops, and trim. It uses the headlight bucket relocated to the series one position, the scoops fitted, and the lenses screwed in place. I will post pictures when I have finished more sets.
