Default Information about front suspension

Hello everyone,

I am a french student in mechanical engineering.
This semester, I have to study the system of front suspension
used in jaguar E-type. More exactly, I am interested in the
upper wishbone used in this kind of jaguar.

As I can see in this forum, you like jaguars. So, maybe, you
could answer my question:

I'd like to know what is the steel used to make this
wishbone ? I know its a forged steel but I'd like to
have more information about that.

Thank you very much for you help
And I'm sorry if I did some mistakes... =)

Bye

Thanks

Wow, that is some question ! I think possibly the only place to tell you is Jaguar Heritage. Even they may not know, as Jaguar bought-in items like this, so the manufacturer will have met a specification, and chosen suitable steel. One thing I do know is that the wishbone is a forging.
