So let's not be tooooo disappointed. 27L is 12 1/16 wide, your E-Type requires a battery that's about 9" wide. L means the positive is on the left, your positive cable should be on the right. The disappointing things about repro batteries are that they're rarely correct for the car, they often aren't the best batteries, and they cost a lot. Go to any parts store, find a plain black battery, Group 35 would work. Tear the labels off and get a Lucas label from Welsh. Be happy.
