Default Keys,

on my Series 2, 1969 coupe, built August of 1969, I have a separate key for the doors and the 'glove box'... I looked for info indicating if there had been a production change, perhaps someone has that info.

Default key photo(s)

And I forgot to mention , if you would like photos of the key 'heads', I can post those.

Here is a link to a fairly well-known British parts supplier, generally, IIRC, accessories:

https://triple-c.com/Jaguar_Replacement_Car_Keys.cfm

the ignition key for the Series 3 looks alot different than my Series 2, but not sure if anything was changed for the glovebox, and all my reference books remain silent.

Thanks

I think the glove box and door key is the same. However my car sat for so long that I think the door locks are sticky. I will try to free them up and see if I can get the key to work.

Default sticky

I had REALLY good luck this past month with my stiff right side door hinge. I tried WD, teflon lubricant, then bought a fresh can of PB blaster... That nailed it. see if you can get that little red pipe in the lock opening, then also spray some on the key itself and insert it and work it. If you can isolate the handle from the body.. a hair dryer might warm it up a bit, too.
