I used Librandi and had great results. I dealt with Mitch got back all 23 pieces is a 5 week time. I had issues with some hardware and they refinished them with no problem. I sent more pieces while they were working on the original order and had all back at the same time. There not cheap but they are the best in my opinion.

So Marley,
I am getting ready to send my bumpers and some trim to get chromed. You said that Librandi did a good job but they are expensive. Can you share what parts you had them chrome and how much it was?
Thanks,
Bill.

My E type is a 69 OTS with a factory hardtop. I sent all exterior chrome including pieces on the hardtop and complete windshield. Did not send the lower front turn signal housing or the chrome trim on the head lights and the bonnet beading. Also emergency brake i did have them do. I replaced the sill chrome with new. All chrome on the door for the windows were re-chromed. I spent approx. $10,000.00. Be careful on buying new pieces because the metal is much thinner and you have more of a tendency to have waves and the fit is far from original. Good luck on your project, I am now in my second year of a total restoration, it really has been a lot of fun, but a lot of money.

Good luck
Marley

Thanks Marley for sharing the information. I agree with your comment regarding the quality and fit of the new trim pieces. A friend purchased some new bumpers for a series 1 E-Type. These new bumpers weigh about half as much as the original bumpers. I am buying some of the smaller trim pieces, but I will have the larger pieces like bumpers, over riders and tail light housing re-chromed.
Thanks again for sharing your experience.
Good luck with your restoration.
Bill.
