Monocoque or Martin Robey
#21
I getting deep into a 70 roadster. Also originally an Ohio car it needs lots of work some of which is correcting a butcher job from someone who previously did the floors, sills and various underside sheet metal. I used advice from Chuck when hunting for cars but no panels from him yet but will probably buy front engine rails from him. I have used floor panels from SNG that have been very good and a few of the smaller filler type panels from Martin Robey that are very good as well. Im finding as I go my sheet metal welding skills need a lot of work. Also I’m including minor structural upgrades as I go to improve body strength. I want a strong reliable driver when I’m done and since it’s not going to be an investment quality car I’m good with making modifications where they are not readily seen. Currently the engine is in Canada for a complete rebuild.
