Default Need restoration shop

I have a 1974 xke that came out of the restoration shop and looks great, BUT the Jaguar specialist died in a car accident and the shop was unable to get the final details completed. It runs but the throttle sticks and there are wiring issues. I need a great mechanic/restoration shop that knows XKE’s to go through the car and debug it. I live in Destin Florida but will take the car to anyone that can help. I value the forums advise above all others so please give me your recommendations. Thanks, Jerry Nutt

Nothing smells more than a post that pretends that they aren't hyping them selfs. I have never heard of them before.

Default Dick Maurey

Does anyone have Dick Maurey’s email or telephone number. He owned Coventry West in Lithonia Georgia. He may live in the Atlanta area.
Thanks,
Jerry Nutt

Default Bob Sellers son

Just don't let his son do any work on your vehicle. Brought him a vehicle that had a blown bottom end. I asked him to take apart the entire engine and if anything was blown in there, I was going to buy a 900 horse crate engine to replace it. Make it easy and call it good. He told me they're was nothing wrong with the bottom end of my vehicle. Took it apart but, he actually didn't. I had blown piston rings and ****ed off pistons. The guy sold me some 8k worth of parts. So have records and receipts of all this. He gives me back the car and its heavily smoking under load. I take the car back. He says it's a $600 catch can that I need. He installs it. Still smoking. He comes back with another 12 worth of work that he said it needed. Wtf? If he wasn't lazy. He would have done what I asked and took apart the entire engine. Paid for by the hour with no argument on cost. Instead, he lied, took my money for **** I didn't need. Then I took the car to another mechanic. That found the blown rings and pistons. Then that mechanic proceeded to steal my car and 13k. So if Bob Sellers son, would have listened to the customer. He would have had another customer for life. Crazy that I told him before he started "working" on the 1st car, that if I did exactly what I asked and built my car as I desire, he would have twin turboed my srt8. He didn't get to do that and I lost a car. A YouTuber has destroyed the company that stole my car and money, so I'm not worried about that. But what I am worried about is that this guy's son, is still out there being a mechanic. Ruining people cars and dreams. I used some of my Army retirement money to get that car fixed at Bob's shop. He son robbed me off this car. It would have had that dcr 900 house engine and 6500 dollar transmission along with the correct supporting mods, all done all bobs shop. Had his son, taken the time to do the job as paid for. This was in 2015. Guess how long it will take me to forget and forgive? Probably won't. Enjoy the reviews Bob Sellers auto clinic. 0 stars or of 100.
