Hi primaz,
Yep, Chip Foose can do some amazing things with the cars he works on, but I think that with this E-Type he was a bit predictable. Maybe he was restricted by the car's owner. But more importantly, I would like to see some photos of the 3.8S on your signature. That sounds like a very cool build.
Bill.

Bill,
You are correct as he did mention that is was built for a specific owner and their desires; although he likes to do subtle mods. It is rare that a client will just say, do whatever you want

Here is the link to my build, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/m...st-done-73952/

I will be posting some more photo's in December as I plan on giving her a mild makeover in November. The same block will be fully built by L & R Custom Engine Building with forged internals, ported heads, all new pistons/rings, roller rockers, cam, Fast 92mm intake, new valve covers, and a mild refresh of the paint as the 3.8s front end gets wacked with rock chips from driving hard for over 200,000 miles.

Post your thoughts on that thread Bill... she is a daily driven sleeper built for work and play...

Default Enzo was Right!

I must say that I really appreciate Chip Foose's work.... in most cases. But installing a hood scoop on an E-Type is like putting a tattoo on Elle Macpherson. It just does not belong. A Chevy V8? Come on. Use some imagination. Put in a later turbo charged Jaguar Motor. They put out some nice power. The tail lights aren't bad but the dash looks like it came out of a Volkswagen Beetle. And the chrome strip on the side ruins the line of the car.

IMHO Chip should stick with duce coupes. Enzo Ferrari was right.
