Restoring 1971 xke 2+2 v12
hello Jaguar Family. I am starting to restore a 1971 Jaguar XKE 2+2 v12 a A/C and Automatic. I am not on forums much so still learning how all this stuff works. I am trying to restore for my grandfather as he had one when i was a kid and had to sell it for financial reasons. He says that was his biggest regret. I just pulled the motor and transmission. But am not having much luck with finding someone to rebuild it or if it is something i could go myself. All the numbers match so I am not wanting to replace w an already done one. Any suggestions would much be much appreciated.

I think you need to supply a bit more information. What condition is your car in? Mileage? What do you want to end up with - a driver, a show car? Can you do the work yourself? I'm curious because I'm working on my own '72. Took the radiator to a shop yesterday, ordered a complete set of hoses, too. I have a drive as an end goal. Brakes are my next focus, and I hope to get paint work done too....... Might be helpful for us to swap notes!
