S2 Heater Box Removal Steps
I'm planning to clean up and powder coat the heater box and possibly replace the blower motor while I have it out. I'm relatively new to E-type ownership, so I don't know what exactly I'm up against. Are there any tips or tricks to this effort or preferred sequences in the steps to make the removal/replacement easier? Thanks in advance!

Hi TigerGuy,
Removing the heater box is pretty straight forward. The thing to keep in mind is that you have the heater matrix/radiator inside the box. So, when you disconnect the coolant hoses it is likely to leak coolant for a while. You can preemptively drain some water from the cooling system to avoid a mess. That aside, you have to disconnect two heater hoses, the heater control cable, the electrical wires to the blower motors, and if I remember correctly four securing bolts. Shouldn't take you long to remove the heater box.
Good luck.
Bill.
