Default SNG Barratt oil filter conversion kit

I just received a SNG Barratt Oil filter conversion kit and there were no instructions included. I contacted SNG Barratt but have had no luck in getting them to email them to me.

Does anyone have a set of instructions that they could email or post on the forum??

Mostly looking for torque numbers.

Thanks in advance

Since no one else has jumped in, I thought that I would offer what little I know (of course for a Series 1 4.2). I installed a spin-on oil filter unit several years ago. The kit wasn't from SNGB, but there may be similarities. That kit at least came with wonderful instructions in color, plus a master list of filter interchanges. The only crucial torque was 20 lb-ft for the mounting bolt (since it goes into aluminum). It was very easy to install and had been a totally reliable upgrade (not a drop of oil leaked). Here's a copy of the info with that kit:

Thanks, that's what I will do 20 lbs.

They promised to email the installation instructions, but never did. I called and spoke to a guy who answered the phone. When I asked what torque to tighten the center at he replied" tight" I asked how tight? he replied " tight" I asked again explaining your tight and my tight is going to be different. He replied " I don't know....just tight"

Remember to check the adaptor is still tight every time you change the filter too.

If you plan on making it a permanent fixture, add a dab of blue (medium strength) Loctite to the thread adaptor that goes into the block for peace of mind
