Default USA Import V12 S3 Roadster 1973/4 LHD to RHD Headlamps etc for use in UK

Hello,

I am new to the forum so greetings to all ...

I have just imported a USA V12 Roadster 1973/4 LHD into the UK .. in order to pass the UK MOT and get

it registered etc .. I guess I have to get headlights readjusted so they beam in the correct direction

etc ...and a few other bits n bobs will need to be done? any advice and tips on how to do this... and hopefully in a economically way? would be most appreciated.

Kind regards

Paul

I think you need to swap out the sealed beam units as they are handed left-hand and right-hand drive, the rest of the stuff is the same, I think.

Fraser is correct. You just need the correct Lucas sealed beam lights for RHD.

Hello Paul,
Depending on local law, the tail lights may have to be changed. In Australia, the turn indicator lens had to be amber on vehicles built after June 1973. If a similar rule applies in the UK, a change to an amber lens requires a change of the complete tail light assembly. The all Red lens used for US market cars had the lights in the tail light body arranged horizontally. The arrangement of the lights in a tail light body for amber lens is vertical. Accordingly, its not just simply a change of lens.

Regards,

Brent

RHD halogen conversions would be a good upgrade.
