Disassembly progress L to R to to bottom. I loosened the adjustment screw and pulled the steering wheel out, no sign of any screws there. Removed the horn button easily with a dental tool. Loosened the spring nut holding the black plastic ring. I’m at steering wheel nut removal, have to stop at Home Depot, I don’t have a socket that size (of course) which appears to be ~24MM or so. I assume the steering wheel comes off once that nut is removed? I’m a little confused as to how the new aluminum hub fits into this scenario when installing the wooden steering wheel? Maybe the lightbulb will go on in my head once I get that nut off... stay tuned....

Update - Did a Google search to learn that the nut is 1”, picked up a socket at Home Depot, came off without a hitch and I also now get the reason for the aluminum hub for the wooden steering wheel.... doh.

Received a 16” steering wheel I found on sale and a close matching wooden shift knob. I’m comfortable with the quality and look of both. Thanks for all the help!
