as a 1984 XJS owner I thought I would alert the XK group of a 74 XK-E that has just been listed for sale today.

1974 Jaguar XKE For Sale

if this is a genuine sale at $US 8 800 it would in Australian terms be the bargain of the century. Almost tempted to buy it myself and ship it to this end of the world.

I emailed them but I'm guessing they skipped a 0. So they're either asking too little or too much

 

It was a scam. She said she was in Omaha. I'm in Des Moines so I told her I'd bring cash and arrange transport. She wanted payment thru Google wallet and she'd ship. I said I'd be there with cash sat morning. She stopped communicating. I think the pics were clipped off ebay. Add is down now.

well at least we achieved something, and played a role in keeping scammers at bay.

interesting that the same party was also using the same trick with a Porsche 911, which drew my attention in the first place.

I have also made the publishers of the sale site aware.
