Summer Meet in France
Hello All,
Not being too computer smart I've been unable to submit anything to the forum for quite a while. Hopefully this will circulate.
I live in a small village in France, about 2 hours SE of Paris, right on the border of Burgundy and Champagne. Lovely rolling country, well supplied with growers of wines named for the region. The village is ERVY-LE-CHATEL (10130). Look it up on Google to get an idea of the place.
I have local friends who are Jag enthusiasts and I guess that we can locally rustle up a couple of XJSs, a couple of E Types and sundry other models.
It occurred to me that it would be great to host a weekend Jag-meet here in the summer. The Mayor, a Porsche man but entirely Jag-friendly, has expressed interest, as has our regional tourist office.
So, let's have some feed-back from members out there, whether UK or Continental based. Anybody interested in the idea? Please get back to me either on the forum or on my own e-mail (Stuart.dubai@hotmail.com).
Look forward to feedback

Meeting in France
Bonjour Stu, and greetings from down under ...
I, for one, will certainly travel halfway round the world to see an 1883 XJSC ... now that really is a collector's car!!! Hahahahaha
Aren't these computers great. Mine is often dyslexic like yours ... and often produces similarly unintended results. I have booked my 'puter in for language lessons, but I suspect it has been wagging clarse. (drat)...
Best wishes with your proposal, complete with Mayoral support. These get-togethers are always fun so we wish you every success. Please ensure you post a collection of pics in due course.

G'day Cat_As_Trophy,
Umm, Yeh .... well at least my 'early model" Jag caught your attention ... Got to admit that the 1883 XJSC was a model built to last. Cast iron bodywork by Brunel, wooden wheels by Chippendale and steam power unit lifted from Stevenson's 'Rocket' -a sight to behold and certainly worth a trip from Oz to see. Sadly no photos available !!!
Glad to learn that I'm not the only one with finger trouble.
