This guy did his 2000 XJR without going to projectors, and has very little glare and light straying.
I looked at a typical headlamp, and for you to put projectors in there, it is going to be a custom job. you will have to cut the reflector to insert the projector into it, then have to figure some way to secure it to the housing, allowing for stable ride (no jitters) and to be adjusted. If you're in for a project...see if racaz wants to sell you his old X-type headlamps...just have to tear them out of the housing and rig them for adjustment (somehow). It is a very challenging project indeed. Good luck.
