Painted my Calipers Sunday

RE: Painted my Calipers Sunday
All I did is cover everything that I didn't want painted. Clean with a brake cleaner. I sanded a litle and then brake cleaner again. Then I use caliper spray paint sold at any autoparts store, I bought mine at Autozone. Then I stuck the decal on, which is a normal vynil decal found at a rice shop. Then I coated with a high temp clear gloss coat. I had some spots so I have to sand and paint again but this will be done when I buy some bigger wheels and slotted rotors.
tallblondeguy - I would also suggest a gloss silver.

I replaced my pads with Akebono ceramics ($155, fantastic) and painted the calipers red using the Duplicolor kit ($19). They need another coat (up close) but that will have to wait until spring. I think they turned out great. Both the pads and the paint are the easiest and the cheapest enhancement you will ever find for any car.
PS - Where do I find the caliper decals? They are subtle yet so cool!

I actually did spray some high heat gloss afterwords. I plan on washing it today since it stopped snowing yesterday and chances of precipitation are lowfor the following days,so after the wash I will take some pics, (no leapers on the rear). Bad thing is that I have 16" sized dealer rims, so you can't see them that well but I plan on getting some 19" later.

If anyone is interested in painting there calipers the G2 caliper kit is very nice. I have used the duplicolor and didnt like it at all, the paint chipped with a month. I used the G2 on my Brembos and it looks like I got them coated. I also put on decals then cleared over them to seal them in. Very nice outcome.
