any "known issues" with the F-PACE SVR edition??
Hi-
I am considering buying a slightly used SVR to use as my daily driver (I live in the Midwest so it will definitely be driven in lousy weather).
Any specific issues with the SVR that i should be aware of? It seems like every car I look at has some weird things that tend to break etc.
Thanks!

Subscribed, as I am interested in this subject as well.
EDIT: I will also add (and these are not really "issues") in case you weren't already aware, that the rear seats on the SVR models do not recline (some F-Pace trims have electric adjustment for the rear seat recline angle, but not the SVR). Also, another thing unique to the SVR: No gesture open/closing (by waving your foot) for the rear liftgate. The sensors are not present, so you'll have to use the button above the license plate or your key fob. Just want to make sure you realize these items before taking the plunge, as they surprised me.

That said, we had no issues with our '17 S, and have had our '20 SVR for 10 months without a single issue. Some do complain of noisy brakes, but I chalk that up to the nature of semi-metallic pads and those who ride their brakes and then don't know how to bed them in. I've not experienced anything other than a rare squeal every blue moon.

I concur with this. Our S had reclining seats and gesture tailgate. Not a deal breaker, but just a little annoyance. Also, not all SVRs have all the options. Had to look to find one with rear air and rear cooled seats as it seems quite a few were ordered without it. Also HUD wasn't worth it IMO.

do you mean that some of these SVR‘s do not have air conditioning in the back row?
or just that rear seat passengers don't have their own set of buttons to control their own air conditioning area?

Both my '17 S and my now '20 SVR came with 22s. I got caught in a blizzard with the S in January '18 driving from Delaware to Charleston, SC. It did surprisingly well but I did use snow mode. Not sure which tires it came with. The SVR came with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season as I suspect the S did to. I grew up in northern Wisconsin so I do have much experience driving in the snow. My wife, from southern California however, was terrified. LOL If I still lived up north, I'd likely get a set of winter tires.

Thanks for the update. Ironically I happen to live in Wisconsin so it is nice to know you've dealt with our snowy winters!
I currently swap a set of winter tires/after market-wheels and summer tires/ stock wheels on my current Jag. It's kind of a pain but it keeps the original stock wheels looking better because they are not be driven on salty roads.
What after market wheel and winter tire would you suggest on the SVR?

I have Avant Garde (https://www.avantgardewheels.com/) wheels on my F Type as I think they are a very nice compromise between price, weight, and looks. Living in Florida now and below the Mason Dixon Line for the last 20 years, I couldn't even begin to recommend a winter tire, though I've heard Blizzaks by Bridgestone (https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tire-brand/blizzak) are very good.

I have not been on this forum for a while. My 2021 SVR should be here late next month or early February. I am not much for big wheels (I pulled the 22" off my RRS Autobiography after two weeks), and for winter I always have a set of wheels and nokian winter tires. They are the best snow tires I've ever used (the SVR is my 487th car in the last 34 years I have a lot of experience). Remember in snow smaller helps. It seems that almost every 2021 SVR that my dealer was able to trade for had both 22" wheels and 4 zone climate. I have contacted a few wheel manufacturers about whether any of their smaller (20" and below) wheels will clear the brakes of the SVR (their dealers were uncertain), and so far I have not heard back from any of them. From what I was told the 2021 SVR will not start arriving until after the middle of next month. If anyone has a SVR and knows what wheels will fit, please let me know thanks.

Thanks, living in the Philadelphia suburbs we do (like this winter) get some big snow falls. The SVR is taking the place of a 2016 RRS autobiography (after 5 years only 8k miles used only in winter) that I took of the 22" and but on 20" with Nokian tires. It pretty much goes through anything. I don't expect the SVR to be as good (have a Jeep grand cherokee but it is my girlfriends winter car), as the RRS but I have been using smaller winter wheels and Nokian tires for years. I am hoping to find something that will fit, so I have reached out to a few wheel manufacturers but so far they cannot guarantee that they will fit. Good new is that SVR (It has 22" that I hope have summer tires on them), will not arrive till around April 1st so I will have a while to find something.

I was told that (by my local dealer and that my car should be here before April 1st) dealers could spec them with (my dealer traded with another dealer for my car but spec sheet only says 22" wheels no tires listed) P Zero's or the Scorpion all seasons, neither tire I like. The F pace will be car number 487 for me (I have been taking cars apart and building one off cars for over 5 decades), and I keep winter and summer cars (summers in storage till April 1st). Tires have always been a concern of mine (since they are the only part of the car that actually touched the road I'm surprised people do not know know more about them), and over the years I learned that the wrong tire can ruin the driving experience (or the car if you are not careful), so I am rather particular and I cannot stand run flats (and dont get me started on drive by wire) so they come off immediately. I think certain 20" Niche (there looks to be a few others too) wheels will clear the calipers and I can use my Nokian snows from the Range Rover. I know a lot about cars (have been on Ferraichat for over 17 years Rennlist for 16 years and own a one of a kind 911 as well as a lot of other cars), and I am usually pretty active on forums since I am semi retired these days. I help a lot of people pick the right car and have taught driving classes (I was asked to go pro when I was a pup), and even at my age I can still handle a Pista with all the nannies off. I am more than glad to share my experience with others. One more thing I am also unusual that I was born without the ability to feel most emotions so I don't always get humor, and it is impossible to insult me. Because of that I see cars purely as machines (no emotion involved) and as machine all of them can be made better.
