Disengage auto stop/start 2017 (& Later) F-Pace
The objective is to unplug one plug from the voltage quality module located in the right pillar of the 2017 F-Pace that effectively disengages the auto stop/start feature.
1. Remove fuse cover and right rear tie-down.
2. Carefully pull back the weather strip along the right pillar.
3. Pull carpet lining down and out in order to expose inside of pillar.
4. You will now see the module. You may need a flashlight. In order to get back to the start/stop plug, you need to first remove the larger plug that is blocking access to the smaller plug behind it.
5. Unplug and secure stop/start plug. Re-attach large plug.

Given the location of the module, is it absolutely necessary to remove the tie down. Can you not simply bend back the carpeting to reveal the module?

on the hanging plastic hook however, it is actually has one of the press/pull fasteners at the top. To remove it, look closely at the top of the hook, you'll see a little rectangle, using your fingernails or two small flat blade screwdrivers pull that rectangle towards you. That will release pressure on the fastener and allow you to very easily remove it. Then to put it back simply line up the openings push it in and then push the rectangle back in.

Can someone confirm 100% that this link only disables the Start Stop Function?
You may not have needed or have other items that this may affect is why I ask and do not want to do this mod to find it also turns off something else that no one as yet has had to use or has fitted to there cars.
Thank you.

I have had mine unplugged for almost 3 weeks with no other items affected. When starting the ignition, the auto start/stop light indicates that the feature is off which is the objective of this post. When pushing the manual override button located on the middle console, a brief message appears that there is an "auto start/stop fault". That is all I have observed.

I do not understand why they just do not have it set that when its off it stays off till you press the button and then its on.
It also annoys me that you when you set your car to dynamic and turn the car off then next time its back to standard and you have to select dynamic.
Why can they just not remember the last setting, it can not be that hard.

Thanks for posting this! I just did this yesterday. Wife couldn't be happier!
It took me a little longer as I couldn't pull the carpet "down and out" following the instructions. I ended up removing all the fasteners on that carpet panel, took the floor cover, the spare, the jack, and the scuff plate out and just lifted the carpet panel up to access it. I didn't have to mess with the weather strip.

I need to find this location on my new XE as this is annoying!
I plan to take it in for service as this is auto on even when your in Dynamic mode which is a joke as no other Jag has this on when in Dynamic mode.
Can you F-Pace guys tell us if yours is on in Dynamic mode as well please?

Great post Spesh...
As my luck would have it..I went about tackling this project to disabling the this Stupid Auto-Start/stop feature...I followed the great instructions and guess what?..NO friggin' MODULE...anywhere, I even looked under the spare tire and battery..Nothing!...So Back to square one, as I have no clue of where else to look for this damn module..
Anybody have any other ideas of where to look for it?..My build date is May, 2016...
Thanks for any help
