Default F Pace Engine Failure

Looking for advice to see if anyone else has had this issue

F PACE 2017 SPORT 2.0D 2017

Engine is requiring a camshaft sensor (it's due Monday)

Engine has been running rough and has cut out on the wife a couple of times

I drove it today and it wasn't feeling right.

I went to start it an it took longer than usual it wound over a few times

Driving then "Engine oil critical low" light came on - I stopped and checked the oil and it wasn't low but the engine sounded horrible

I then left it a second and started it again and it sounded not too bad.

Drove it again to get it to a good place and it got very noisy and rattly so I stopped.

It has loss of power and is very rattly (not a bottom end knock) I think it sounds like the timing chain to be honest.

Anyway I started it again to move it onto the recovery truck and it cut out again.

It has no warranty on it and only 70k

So I have found a bare engine for £3500

or I am hoping its a case of a timing chain kit and we are good to go.

I really didn't need this today.
