Jaguar Art of Performance Tour Dundas Castle 15th - 16th Oct
Got my invite along to Jaguar's Art of Performance Tour at Dundas Castle Sat 15th - Sun 16th October

A nice 4 hour session with the F Pace putting it through it's paces on all terrains, as well as a passenger seat fly by around a circuit allegedly, see below.....

We're delighted to confirm your place at The Art of Performance Tour this autumn. Your e-ticket can be downloaded here. The experience will take place over three to four hours, including registration, driver briefing and refreshments.

A range of Jaguar cars will be on display at the event and there's even the opportunity to test drive the XE, XF, XJ or F-TYPE, if there's time and availability. After putting F-PACE through its paces, why not configure your own F-PACE with a 360° experience in our mobile exhibition unit? Choose your ideal colour, trim and wheels to make it truly bespoke to you.

Well went along today with quite high expectations and certainly wasn't let down in any dept.

With all the F Paces there, around at least 30 in all I'd say, numerous Jaguar Land Rover support vehicles, around 8 F Types, 4 each at least of the XF's and XE's as well as a few XJ's, there must have been several Million ŁŁŁ there.
There were more staff than you could shake a stick at, but all were there to help and advise only, NO sales staff, no pressure or hard sell.

The location itself was stunning, Dundas Castle only the weather let us down, although very good for 4x4 events

Initially we were given an F Pace each person / couple and given the keys and told to go and enjoy. Beforehand there was a 10 minute briefing on the car and its features and what to expect on the day. Off we went on an allocated course for about 80 minutes or so, predetermined by the sat nav.....there were support cars tailing the last car out to assist if required.

Upon return it was of to the Racing portion of the event. This was an F Pace with the same 3.0 V6 380 bhp as the F Type I had a few months ago.....WOW!
There was a qualified racing driver and crash helmets were the order of the day, off around a track combining tarmac, forest and gravel sections.....he really went for it and threw it around and into the bends / crests etc.
I was amazed at how good the road holding was on simple street tyres, really impressive.

Afterwards, we looked in on the assault course area, this consisted of a very large inclined ramp to a crest some 20 feet or so in the air and then a very sharp drop.
This is where the new ASPC (All Surface Progress Control ) came into its own.

Approach the ramp and select the feature, foot off the brake and the car slowly tackled the incline on its own, brake to a stop at the top, hill descent then automatically engages and once off the brake, the car simply moves down at a steady pace.....really impressive

See a few pics and a video attached

after all this fun it was back tot he castle for juice / coffee / tea and a light lunch with a selection of sweets afterwards......all very civilised and expertly put together.
Well done Jaguar and thanks for a great day out, lovin the F Pace.

Had a great day there too Jim. Some car on the rally section! Well impressed with the F Pace, drove both 2 and 3 litre. Still not sure which to go for next year when we chop in the Sportbrake.
