Looking for help with a malfunctioning SOS InControl system
I hope I’m posting to the right place. I have a 2018 F-pace 25t. Purchased CPO from Dallas Jaguar (in Texas) in September 2020. I only have 20k miles on it. We were driving yesterday and out of the blue, for no reason, a man comes on the speakers asking if we are ok. It was shocking but we figured we must have accidentally called somehow. A few minutes later it did it again. And within the next hour or so, it called for emergency assist 7 more times. We called the dealership who said they had no idea how to make it stop and they are backed up 2 weeks on service. Only other thing out of the ordinary that we noticed was my phone wouldn’t connect. I have the 8” screen with buttons on the sides. I have scoured the internet with no luck. This morning I drove and didn’t have any issues, but then in the afternoon it called 4 more times. I was trying to talk on the phone for work and it was connected via usb. It kept cutting out until I unplugged it. Then it started with the sos calls.
the only other thing we noticed was that when it didn’t make calls, I was in the car alone: when it made the sos calls, I had someone in the passenger seat.
no idea if any of it is related but I need it to stop! No one seems to be able to help or even able to tell me how to disconnect it til it can be fixed!
