My 2019 F-Pace Battery Has Died Twice
The first time I woke up around 3am and my brakes light was on and I couldn’t start my vehicle. So I brought a new battery and drove it for about weeks, now my battery is dead again. I’m not sure if I had the correct battery or if something is draining my battery. What do you guys think?

Dead battery
I just bought a used 2019 F-Pace with 33K miles. Ran perfect for 10 days. Got in it yesterday and the dash said “low battery, start engine” which I did. Started as normal and drove fine. Next morning, dead as a door nail. Used the secret key to get in. Now my problem is I can’t get the trunk open to even get to the battery. WTF?

Under the bonnet (hood), on the left side as you're looking at the engine, there is a positive battery post under the red cover with the + on it, if you look on the shock tower behind that there is a post that is the negative connection. You can use these points to hook up a battery charger. All you need is enough of a charge in order to open the boot (trunk).

If you sit with the audio playing and the engine off, the “low battery, start engine” message appears after about ten minutes which is ridiculous but these vehicles are very sensitive to battery condition and state of charge so the warning is deliberately triggered to display over sensitively.
Battery life on a modern Jaguar is typically three to five years so yours is in that timeframe. This can be greatly extended by use of a battery tender such as CTEK. It's also important to shut systems down by locking the vehicle even when parked in a garage.

Good advice from GGG there.
My F-Type was built in Oct 2014 so eight years ago and the original battery is still going strong, I put that down to three things:
1. I always put it on the battery maintainer/tender when I don't expect to drive it for more than about two days. Not a CTEK but still a good seven stage one.
2. I always double lock it even when tucked up in the garage overnight.
3. I disconnected then removed the secondary/aux battery years ago.
In all my previous cars including a 2010 XFS and 2010 XFR the battery barely lasted four years before it conked.

1. Call the fire department using your cell phone and tell them that you are locked in your car.
2. Pull on the interior door handle and open the door.
Personally, option #2 is probably the best way to go!

Actually my warranty has expired but of course I took it to the Jaguar dealership anyway. Yesterday, I heard back from them and they told me that my battery and everything was good. However, my check engine light was still on so they have to check it.

Issue resolved, sorta
So, after having the car jumped this morning relatively easily and talking with the road service driver and explaining I’ve had the car less than two weeks, he asked if I had gotten it inspected. I had. He told me there is something in the electrical system that trips a code when the inspection machine is hooked up to these cars which requires a battery monitoring system reset that can only be done at a Jaguar dealership (proprietary software). Problem solved. Except that I can’t get an appointment at any nearby Jaguar dealership in the near future. One even told me they are not taking on any new customers and will not service the vehicle, even for warranty work, unless the vehicle was purchased from them. 🤔
