My F-Pace Saga - Let The Buyer Beware!!!

The reason we call them ***********s. Sales people change like we change dirty socks and not surprising, are considered even lower than lawyers on the food chain. That is from polls. Once you buy the salesman never wants to see you again. (Forum does not like me calling them registered theft rings..LOL)
I worked a deal and after I came home with the new car, found there were incentives the dealer never told me about. $1000 in loyalty cash for current Jaguar or Land Rover owners and $2000 in finance credit if financed trough Jaguar. I brought this to the attention of the dealer and they agreed to reimburse me the $1000, but said they could not "unravel the deal" to give me the $2000 in cash towards financing. I explained we would have taken the finance deal IF they had told me it was available (would have made financing basically free for 60 months). Oh well, salesman's mistake.
It didn't hurt financially as we used the credit union for the loan and then paid it off immediately. But what incentives do they never let you know about and then pocket the money as more profit? Or save their part of the incentive?
Just like every other car dealer. Good thing service is outstanding.

I think not. I personally like F-Pace, the styling. I did find that unless purchasing the First Edition that I could not get all the packages I wanted. So I did not consider waiting the several months for it, as we have a 2013 LR4 and that handles anything we can throw at it. I love the XF-S and think it makes a great all around vehicle for trips and cruising. I suppose we are jaded having both vehicles at our disposal. The 2013 was the last LR4 with the V8 so we plan to hang on to that for awhile.

There will still be saloons, I have no doubt, but the XJ may eventually disappear or become a much more specialised car with a price tag to match, (and it's already rather expensive!!)
