Default New F Pace not delivered as specified

Hi Everyone, I ordered a new F Pace before Christmas and finally took delivery of it about a month and a half ago. Everything seemed fine with it until I noticed that it didn't have the auto dimming rear view mirrors that I had specified, it has manual dim mirrors. I contacted the sales man I dealt with who has admitted he made a mistake in ordering the incorrect thing and now says that it can't be rectified.

My question is can it definitely not be rectified or is the dealer saying that because they would have to incur the cost of rectifying it and they've decided the cost is too high? I'm very unhappy with the dealer over this and have yet to be presented with a satisfactory solution.

Sorry to hear about that.

I'm sure they can be retrofitted, whether or not JLR will come to the party and "allow it" is a different story...

The real annoyance is that the exact same model (Portfolio) in the UK has everything I had to order as extras as standard.

Not sure how things work over there, but on this side of The Pond, I would not be satisfied with the say-so of the salesman. If you have the option clearly called out in your original order signed by the sales manager, and the price you paid is based on that option being present on your car as delivered, then the dealership is clearly in the wrong. Take it up the dealership chain of command to the dealer-principal. If you get no satisfaction there, take it up the Jaguar company chain. No reason to put up with this sort of nonsense.

That seems a bit shady. Why didn't they sort it out? We had that issue here in NZ with a vehicle, and they just ordered another vehicle with correct features, and sold the other one about a month later. I'd be chasing them up, you paid for something you didn't get, take it to the Dealer Principle/GM.
