O2 Sensors - Again

Second time to the dealer in the 1 1/2 years for CEL O2 sensors. Of course the dealerships have no cars for loaners, but Jacksonville Jaguar did step up and rent the wife a '21 Infinity QX80. I've heard of dealers renting little crappy cars for customers so this was a nice touch by them. Wife complains it's too big though. 1st world problems I suppose.

5,500 miles, give or take 10. I've had a couple sensors replaced on my F Type, and it's common in the 5L engine, but mostly only heard about on the F Type side. I'd say probably because not as many 5L F Paces out there. Also common on the 3L F Type as well. Jaguar knows well enough about it and extended the warranty for the 3L & 5L for 12 years 120k miles and 10 years 100k miles respectively.

Hi,
My wife's 2017 F-Pace 35t has had both banks sensor 3's replaced under warranty, as JacksonvilleJag says, Jaguar extended the coverage for certain years as Bosch supplied a bunch of absolute junk. This problem affected all the manufactures using Bosch products, not just JLR.
It's a 90 min fix at the dealership, most of that time is spent washing and vacuuming your car! I guess the problem is for the next owner, when the car is 5-10 years old, and doesn't know that there is a free fix and JLR are 'on the hook' for this?

This is also why Jaguar is actively retuning the exhaust as other threads have discussed. You know, the one's where people say it's quieter with less pops and bangs. Mostly on the F Types and the F Pace SVRs. Those pops and bangs can wreak havoc on the lesser quality O2 sensors and catalytic converters.
