Default Any idea why the mirrors don't automatically fold in on my V8S w/the premium package?

Does anyone know why the mirrors don't automatically fold in on my V8S w/the premium package? Jaguar's website claims that all premium pack f type should have auto folding mirrors.

Is it because mine is a 2014 whereas the above feature was only added for 2015s?

I have all of the other premium pack features, such as rear wind blocker. My sticker is attached.

Could be that this feature needs to be selected on the menu.. I know mine has a few menu options, such as dipping mirror's when reversing.

I don't see it. What I'm trying to do is to get the mirrors to close automatically when I lock the door.

Well this was really weird.

I saw in the manual that if you press the mirror buttons left and right at the same time then the power mirrors should retract automatically. So I tried that and they did retract automatically.

Ever since then every time I lock the car the mirrors close automatically. So pressing these two buttons at the same time basically fixed the problem although I have no idea why.

That's really odd. I had been manually (ie by pushing them with my hands) forcing the mirrors to close in tight parking spots. But I only did that maybe 2 or 3 times since buying the car so I hope I didn't damage anything!

Thanks. I was wondering how to NOT make the mirrors retract on locking (for photos). This sounds like it'll do it.

It would be nice if Jaguar - or anybody else for that matter - would compile and publish a quick reference cheat sheet listing all the electronic tricks, hidden settings, and resets that exist for these cars...
