Default jag club discount

Hello, I'm trying to get a better understanding of the jag club discount. The second post from the bottom on this webpage refers to a JCNA discount of $2.5K:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=882021#post882021

However, the first post on this webpage refers to a JCNA discount of $1K:

http://www.jcna.com/forums/view.php?Vfnum=001&Vthread=8207&Vref=

So I'm curious, does the JCNA discount fluctuate based on certain factors? Does Jaguar maintain a webpage that I can reference for the latest JCNA discount amount?

I do believe that the "$2500 JCNA discount" is a piece of fiction. The current JCNA member discount is $1000, as your jcna.com link shows. The only recent change in the discount is its increase from $750 to $1000 back in May 2013. Even BMW offers BMWCCA members a rebate of only $500-$1000-$1500 depending on car series.

I can assure you that that there was indeed a 2500 credit in addition to the numbers we negotiated when I bought my car in December. It was described as a JCNA discount. Whether it was or whether it was just marketing dollars is somewhat moot as the net effect was the same.

That's surprising, but what do I know - I haven't been shopping for a car in a couple of years. Certainly not a peep from JCNA about such a generous rebate - I would have thought that they would have been crowing loudly had such a membership benefit been available (or did I sleep through that also).

If any Jaguar corporate types are lurking here, I would recommend to them one of BMW's stellar practices: they offer a $500 rebate (for M models, half that for non-M) to BMWCCA members for Certified Preowned cars as well as the larger rebates for new cars. I've already taken advantage of that CPO rebate twice.

@jga - are only jag employees privy to that bulletin? it would really help me if I had access to that bulletin, or another legitimate source of that information when I go to the dealer to negotiate my f-type coupe.

When you go into the dealer just ask if there is a JCNA discount on the car.

@Jga - I would rather know that information ahead of time, instead of taking the dealer's word for it.

If I know of a reliable website with this info, and the website says there's a $1k jcna discount on a vehicle, but the dealer says that there's no discount, then I have enough info to justify checking with another dealer.

I can say it should be your responsibility to ask if there is a discount for JCNA members. The dealers would benefit from you being a member as they can sell the car to you for less money making the sale easier. The dealers are fully refunded by Jaguar for this program. The only reason a sales person my not be aware of or forgotten the program is that it is seldom used. I wish more of the club members bought new cars.

In my case the dealer was very open about the discount and brought it up early in the discussions.
