$14,000 for 25 extra horse power, really ?

Nice
I believe so, but I don't know for sure.
Depends how much you pay for them. As I recall they were many thousands of dollars as spare parts to buy...

I'd love for a used SVR exhaust to fall into my lap; I'd be all over it.
On the SVR price thing (yeah, I know, old thread), clearly some people haven't spent any time at the Porsche dealer......compared the SVR pricing is a bargain....and has little to do with the 25hp bump.

I was in the same mindset that the SVR wasn't overly impressive for the money until...
I was car shopping and tested a 991.1 Targa 4S, 991.2 C4S, '15 R8, '17 R8, AMG-GTS, and C63S in two days wasn't overly impressed by any of them, the best being the AMG-GTS. Then that week I went for service at Jag, they had me test side-by-side my V8S, an R Coupe AWD and a SVR Coupe. The R was almost identical to the V8S aside from off the line traction but the SVR was another league. The sum of all the little modification really changed the car's handling completely. Add that to the interior and exterior changes and it's almost a "bargain". Do I think the SVR is a better car than all of those that I tested, no, but the joy of driving it on the road was far greater even though i'm sure it would have a rough time with a bunch of them on the track.
I ordered an SVR Convertible on the spot which with options was almost 30,000CAD MSRP more than a R convertible loaded up. I have no trouble seeing the additional value and think that my week of test drives really gave me a good comparison point.

Oh yeah...I spent a lot of time recently at the Porsche dealership as I was spec'ing out the new 718s. Even those hit 6 digits after options; and forget about the lower 911 models as they also get within the same price range as the SVR and they aren't even Porsche's top shelf. The SVR is a bargain for what you get compared to other offerings.

Congrats. It doesn't take long pricing out Porsche's or MB's to come up with the realization that all F types are a bargain.

Hi guys, I just compared the price of the F Type R coupe and the SRV coupe. When I specd out my car it comes to $111,200.
The SVR is basically $125,300. So there is a price difference of 14,000. I don't care much for the SRV seats so basically your paying 14,000 for 25 horse power above the R Type coupe.
Really ... ?????????
Jaguar messed up on the pricing for the SRV in my opinion. As a car, the SRV doesn't have so much more over the R Type coupe. I don't get it....

I completely agree with you. However, you'll just get a bunch of SVR owners here trying to defend themselves.....as anyone would being accused of burning 14K

Hey Unhingd, how does one get suspension knuckle and sway bars from the SVR? I want to order these goodies too!

Well I bought an SVR that arrived last month, as far as speccing it, on the vert the only optional extra I went for was heated seats, everything else is on it as standard in the UK at least, sure I could have gone for Gucci Carbon bits and Ceramic brakes but thats kind of just decoration as i'm not going to track it so the brakes I don't need and the carbon bits, well, I think its pretty enough without. Yeah its an expensive car but at least in the UK the chances of seeing another Vert are slim to none as they only sold 3 as far as I know so far.

Not so fast: The F-TYPE Project 7 MSRP'ed at $165,995!!! (And if you didn't want it to be white or blue you had the privilege of paying an additional $10K!!!) Yes please, that'll be $10,000 extra for green, red, and even black! lol How is that for value?
#34
At $165k, they were a great value since you can sell them for more than $200k today.

Drive to understand
I've owned a 2015 R coupe and now own an SVR coupe. The difference between the cars is significant. The SVR is much more refined and confortable. It's faster, and more stable, Everything about the car is better.
I think Jaguar downplays the changes it makes to the SVR to not dilute demand for the R coupe .... Believe me, I was a skeptic too, but now I see that SVO is real, and it's fantastic.
