Picked up the car earlier today and the SA basically had no idea about this. Sorry.

Got the call the parts were in just before 11, driving a white '13 XF loaner...

***12:45 update*** The Jaguar rep from NJ has called twice now just making sure I'm taken care of, real nice touch.

Picked up the car around 5 yesterday and except for a few fingerprints (I specifically told them NOT to wash the car), it all looks good.

The work order states: "Removed rear wheels, fender liner and exhaust to gain access. Replaced filler neck. Check for debris in rubber fill hose. Test drove."

I did notice when I got in my car to leave, it was in dynamic mode.

Just filled up for the first time yesterday and my car definitely has this issue. As soon as it clicked off after only 5-10 seconds, I remembered hearing in this forum about the problem. I figured they surely had fixed it on new cars. I even tried turning the nozzle at different angles.

Oh well, add this to the fix list for next time in:
- factory paint defect on rear driver-side quarter panel
- hood fit alignment at fender wells
- insanely sensitive fuel fill shutoff syndrome

Anyone had this fuel filler neck replaced per bulletin and STILL having refueling issues? I pumped gas the same day I got my car back from the repair and it still clicks.

Read throught the ENTIRE thread carefully. Some parts guys apparently weren't ordering the NEW part, and simply replaced the old with with ANOTHER defective one!!!

MAke sure you REALLY got the NEW part installed.

I am. I contacted Jaguar NA regarding my issue. A couple days later I got a call from jaguar NA saying they spoke to my dealer and they said they have never had someone come back with issues after the fix. They told me to go back there and have them replicate the issue again. I tried the nearest gas station near my dealer which is a Shell, and it does not have a problem what so ever, which is probably why they can't replicate the problem when they first installed the new part.

However, for the other stations it's a hit or miss. The Mobil, 76, USA Gas, Arco around my neighborhood work 10% of the time while 80% of the time I'm standing there like a moron who looks like they can't fill up their own tank.

My dealer did install the "new" designed filler neck because they initially had me wait a month until they had the new parts in stock.

I had the new filler neck and gas cap installed, both my wife and I have had issues filling up 50% of the time. Oh well, back to the dealer it goes.

Since the "fix", I haven't heard of this occurring anywhere but CA. Even before the different nozzle design was released, 90% of the problems were occurring in CA.

Still are, mine isn't really any better, just learning to live with it...

Same, just trying to make a habit of going to the same gas stations that I know won't give me any problems.

Got gas at an ARCO station in Paso Robles CA. Put it on auto fill to show my wife how it shuts right off. But, miraculously, it completely filled and then shut off. Go figure.

That's good to hear. The fuel filling issue is literally the only problem
I've had with the car and it is sporadic at best. So, I'm a bit reluctant to turn my car over to service for what could potentially be a week for something that, honestly, doesn't really cause much of a problem at this point. However, I can see it being a huge issue on a road trip where my fuel options are limited...

Lurker and potential XF owner here.

I have the exact same problem with my Porsche Turbo

California has a spring loaded assembly that seals the gas pump to the filler tube on the car. Some pumps are more sensitive than others. The best way I have found to get my car to take fuel is to pull the spring loaded seal and to let the air out. Anyone tried that on your XF?

Drove to a "known" working station yesterday where I've had the most success needing 1/2 tank, set it on the slowest flow setting and it filled up completely w/o issues...

My dealer, British Motor Cars of San Francisco, wants to check my car out before they will order parts for the filler tube. They are an hour drive from my house and there is a dealer, Cole Imports 10 minutes away. I have my first service due. I asked the service manager to see if they had the parts. Otherwise, I told him I would just go to Cole from now on. Let's see if they want my continuing business.
